Business and Lunch (ke-ke-ke time)

[vc_row inner_container=”no”][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Today was a good day for me I had lunch with one of my old neighborhood girlfriends, we’ve known each other for many years and have remained in touch.  Her mom died last year so we’re both adult orphan’s now.  After we took care of some personal business we want to lunch at TGIF.

I haven’t been there since my mother passed away, she and I use to always buy the Jack Daniels wings.  The food and company was great today it give me a chance to relax and have some good ole girl talk and put my mom on the back burner so to speak just for a while but I still managed to bring up mother’s name twice during my little outing today.  My grief Counselor says that’s okay I will move on at my own pace and time.  My family members have checked on me all week, and its much appreciated.

Have your family members checked on you since your mother’s funeral?  Are you starting to get out more or just not ready to spread your wings yet? Again, I repeat if you were only able to breathe today without getting sick on the stomach, being lightheaded or thinking about committing suicide that’s good enough!

Have you started grief counseling yet?

Know someone who experienced loss? Here’s why you should check in on them 3, 6, 12 months later—and beyond
