Members of I Was Her Angel; you will have the opportunity to travel and spend time with other folks who have lost their mothers. We will embark on griefcations around the globe. Events will be planned year-round in Baltimore, Maryland, and abroad for loved ones of deceased mothers only. These events will include grief retreats, trips, social gatherings, social media, speed dating, cruises, dance parties, informal dinner parties, bus trips, and all of the guests will be motherless. We will navigate this devastating heartbreak together one day at a time. Members will be able to talk about their dearly departed mothers and the good old days that were spent with them without judgment. Please enjoy life to the best of your ability. You will never feel alone again, and your mother will be memorialized on the pages of this website forever. We will smile and laugh once again with our newfound family and friends. The best is yet to come! Imagine yourself on the beach in Greece, Italy, the Bahamas, Maryland, North Carolina, at a stately manor for a quiet evening dinner with friends. This is your opportunity to laugh and joke about some of the crazy things your mother got you into or made you do.
Think of these group vacations and events as a form of grief therapy, a coping mechanism if you will that can help you develop a strategy on how to deal with the death of your mother. A brief distraction from the pain of losing a loved one more precious than gold. Hence the name of this website page griefcation which is another word for a furlough from your grief and loss. While traveling around the world or participating in an event will not make you forget about your mom. Maybe it will enlighten you on the meaning of life, death, our existence on this planet, and God.
**These events are in support of bereaved members only. However, immediate family members and friends are welcome. As long as they are respectful to our grieving members because these trips are not designed for them. Any non-members participating in these trips or events that violate our policies will be asked to leave and banned from future events with I was Her Angel.
